On June 23, 2011, the Town submitted an application to the State of Connecticut under the Small Town Economic Assistance Program. The proposal seeks funding to assist with the revitalization of the Riverside Mall at 1666 Route 12. Utilizing $325,000 in grant funds, the project hopes to leverage $600,000 in private investment in the mall property. While there is no guarantee that the project will be funded, this proposal offers an important opportunity to make progress in achieving an important community objective. |
