STATUS (1 June 2010): The Permanent Building Committee met on June 1, 2010 and made the following decisions: approved a "Statement of Work"; agreed that the request for proposal would request a lump sum fee; establish a time schedule to obtain proposals by July 12, 2010. STATUS (8 April 2010): The Permanent Building Committee met on April 6, 2010 and based on Town purchasing regulations decided to request fee proposals from all four interviewed firms. They are currently working to further define the scope of work to be included in the request and, tentatively, plan to meet again on April 20, 2010. |

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS Community Facilities Plan The Town of Ledyard, CT through its Permanent Municipal Building Committee is seeking qualified consultants to assist in the preparation of a “Community Facilities Plan”. The Town of Ledyard intends to study 14 municipally owned buildings/sites. This includes, but is not limited to, 7 school buildings (1 high school, 1 middle school and 5 elementary schools), the town hall complex, 2 libraries, law enforcement, and fire stations A prime objective of the study is to develop a long term decision making tool to guide capital, facilities investment based on current and future Town needs. A more detailed description of the project and background for the RFQ may be obtained at the Town of Ledyard Mayor’s Office at 741 Colonel Ledyard Highway, Ledyard, CT. or by email to ckarn@town.ledyard.ct.us. Sealed statements of qualifications (5 copies) will be received at the Mayor’s Office until 2 pm on February 5, 2010. Qualifications will be reviewed by the Permanent Municipal Building Committee panel and a short list of qualified firms will be invited to present and interview with the panel. Following the interview and review, up to three firms will be invited to submit proposals. The Town of Ledyard reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, bids, response to the request for qualifications, or proposals; to waive any technicality in a statement or part thereof submitted, and to accept the statement deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Ledyard. All materials submitted shall become the property of the Town of Ledyard. The receipt of any response to this request shall in no way be construed to create or imply a contract or obligation between the parties.
